Military Ministry
The Military Ministry seeks to provide guidance to all military-affiliated personnel and their family members. The Ministry works closely with military organizations and community partners in providing contacts, connections and resources to ensure the intent is met.
Galatians 6:10 (NIV)

We are pleased to serve as your Military Ministry Coordinators!
The Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Military Ministry serve over 80 military personnel and their family members. We collaborate and coordinate with military organizations that assist with processing disability-connected claims to setting up medical transportation. We also work with community partners by providing information about upcoming military events and discounts at various establishments.
The Military Ministry is very active and involved. We participate in annual events such as the Veterans Day Parade, Flag Placing Ceremony at Northside Cemetery and the Annual Wreath laying Ceremony at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery. We also volunteer with organizations such as the Airborne and Special Operations Museum and other community venues. We host Military workshops, Veterans Day Breakfast and Military Appreciation Service. Currently, we are working on partnering with other organizations in bridging the gap with the military community.
To help us stay connected with keeping you up to date with the latest news, we provide information via email, phone calls, greetings card, a letter from the ministry team and church member support, information, referrals, hospital visitation and home visits. For military members that are deployed, we provide devotional and bible study materials, follow-up letter, spiritual support to the family member, assist with transportation and childcare resources.
We ask that if a military member or their immediate loved one is hospitalized, to please contact us. We would love to come for spiritual support for our "Family of One."
Please feel free to contact us about military-related questions or concerns.
Thank you for your service and remember we are here for you!
